KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) - Malaysia-based airline AirAsia X Berhad said Thursday that its passengers jumped 41 percent year-on-year to over four million in 2024.

The firm said in a statement that driven by the reactivation of additional aircraft and a commitment to operational excellence, it has expanded its network and increased flight frequencies, leading to higher passenger numbers, improved load factors, and stronger route performance, fueling remarkable growth momentum in 2024.

The company's passenger load factor rose by three percentage points to 83 percent compared to the preceding year, while seat capacity grew by 35 percent year-on-year to 4.8 million seats.

As more aircraft resumed service, the number of flights for the firm rose by 35 percent year-on-year at 13,262 flights.

In 2024, the company also served a total of 24 destinations, with seven routes launched in the year. Enditem
