CAIRO -- Arab League (AL) Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit reaffirmed on Thursday the organization's firm rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians from their land, stressing that "Gaza is not for sale."

"I reaffirm the firm and absolute rejection of the Arab League, being the institution gathering all Arab states, of any attempts to displace Palestinians from their land under any pretext," Aboul-Gheit said during a session of the AL's economic and social council in Cairo, broadcast on Egypt's state TV. BERLIN -- At least 28 people, including children, were injured after a car plowed into a crowd in Munich, Germany, on Thursday, local police reported.

HARARE -- At least 24 people were killed Thursday morning when a bus collided head-on with a haulage truck in Zimbabwe's Matabeleland South Province, state-run newspaper The Herald reported.

The accident occurred at a tollgate near the southern border town of Beitbridge, with 17 people dying on the spot while seven others succumbed to their injuries after being taken to the hospital. (Zimbabwe-Accident-Death)

NIAMEY -- Four soldiers were injured in a recent improvised explosive device attack on a mission in the southwestern region of Tillabery, Nigerien defense and security forces said Wednesday.
