KABUL, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan has exported dried fruits worth more than 350 million U.S. dollars over the past 10 months, said the spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
"Over the past 10 months, 115,000 tons of dried fruits, worth over 350 million dollars, were exported," local media outlet TOLOnews quoted the ministry's spokesman Akundzada Abdul Salam Jawad as saying on Friday.
The products were mostly exported to China, India, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Germany, Uzbekistan, Canada, Britain, the United States and other countries, Jawad said.
Afghanistan has experienced a decline in dried fruit exports compared to the same period last year. Last year, the country exported dried fruit valued at 388 million dollars.
Overall, Afghanistan's total trade volume in 2024 surpassed 12 billion U.S. dollars, showing a 38-percent growth in imports from the previous year, contrasted by a 4-percent drop in exports. Enditem
