BISHKEK, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov laid the foundation for an IT-city project in Osh, southern Kyrgyzstan, during a working visit to the region, the official Kabar news agency reported on Friday.
The IT-city will enhance Osh's role as a cultural and economic hub along the great Silk Road, said Japarov. The project includes the construction of residential, commercial, and IT infrastructure, catering to both citizens and businesses.
With over 10,000 apartments and a large residential complex, the project will also feature energy-efficient buildings, schools, medical facilities, and recreational areas. It will create thousands of jobs, help reduce migration, and improve living standards. The IT-city will serve as a center for innovation and a platform for technological growth, according to Japarov.
The president emphasized that this project is an important step towards ensuring the long-term sustainable development of Osh. In the future, it should become a modern technological and social center for the entire region. Enditem
