Afghanistan's Khost province exports dried fruits worth 11 mln USD

KABUL, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- The volume of exports of dried fruits in Afghanistan's eastern Khost province has exceeded 11 million U.S. dollars over the last 10 months, a local media outlet reported Saturday.

Tolonews quoted Nawab Amirzai, the provincial head of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, as saying that Khost province exported nearly 4,500 tons of dried fruits during the cited period.

Pine nuts, pistachios, almonds, and 17 other types of dried fruits are the major export items of Afghanistan to China, India, Pakistan, the United States and European countries. Enditem
