ISLAMABAD -- Eleven people were killed and seven others injured in two separate road accidents in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province on Sunday, local media and police said.

One of the accidents occurred in the Multan district in a traffic pile-up involving a passenger van, a car, and a motorbike, resulting in six deaths and seven injuries, police sources from the district told Xinhua. (Pakistan-Punjab-Road accident)

NEW DELHI -- At least 18 persons, including 10 women, four children and four men, died and more than 25 were injured when a stampede occurred at the New Delhi railway station late on Saturday night, confirmed a government official.

JERUSALEM -- An Israeli airstrike killed at least three police officers in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, according to Palestinian and Israeli sources.

SAO PAULO -- Two people were killed Saturday when a small plane crashed into a sugarcane field in a rural town in Brazil's southeastern Sao Paulo state, the local fire department said.
