ALMATY, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan has become the only Central Asian country to receive international accreditation for its education quality assessment system, the press service of the Kazakh Education Ministry said on Monday.
The national student knowledge assessment tool has been awarded international quality certification by the Research Centre for Examination and Certification (RCEC).
According to the ministry's statement, the accreditation of Kazakhstan's Monitoring of Educational Achievements of Students confirms its reliability, validity, and compliance with global standards. All stages and procedures are based on recognized scientific approaches used in international studies, such as the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS), and Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS).
The ministry also noted that Kazakhstan's national assessment system could potentially serve as the foundation or part of joint international projects in the Central Asian region in the future. Enditem
