DHAKA, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- The Bangladeshi interim government is planning the possibility of introducing military training for the youth.
Abdul Hafiz, special assistant to the Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, made the announcement, saying the issue was discussed at the final session of a three-day conference of senior government officials in Dhaka Tuesday.
"A proposal has been made to provide universal military training for the youth on behalf of the deputy commissioners during the conference," he said.
He also expressed the opinion that the country's young generation can contribute to national defense when necessary if they receive military training. Enditem
