TEHRAN, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- The Ground Force of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Tuesday launched a large-scale military drill in the country's southwestern region, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.

A number of homegrown kamikaze and reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were unveiled during the drill, codenamed the "Great Prophet 19," the report said, listing them as "Bina," "Qandil 4" and "Qandil 5" reconnaissance drones, the vertical take-off and landing "Arbaeen" bomber UAV and "Ra'ad 2", "Ra'ad 3" and "Saeqeh" kamikaze UAVs.

The report said the "Saber" micro aerial vehicle, capable of carrying different anti-tank rounds, was also unveiled during the exercise.

According to Tasnim, the units involved in the drill will also practice different defense scenarios to counter transregional enemies. Enditem
