RIYADH, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- The fourth Saudi Media Forum opened in Riyadh on Wednesday, bringing together over 200 media organizations from around the globe to discuss the industry's future in a rapidly changing technological landscape.
The three-day event, themed "Media in an Evolving World," will feature over 200 speakers addressing topics such as digital transformation, the use of artificial intelligence in content creation, and Saudi Arabia's growing role in gaming and e-sports, according to organizers.
Saudi Media Minister Salman bin Youssef Al-Dosari highlighted the "evolving landscape based on the transformation of infrastructure in financing, and new technologies" facing the media industry. He added that Saudi Arabia has begun implementing plans and setting priorities for the sector.
The forum, one of the largest of its kind in the Middle East, will also host the Saudi Media Forum Awards and the Future of Media Exhibition.
The exhibition showcases cutting-edge technologies and innovative media experiences, focusing on areas such as emerging technology, AI and media innovation, and media production.
Exhibitors include Xinhua News Agency, China Media Group, Google, Microsoft, Netflix, Amazon, Reuters, and Bloomberg. Enditem
