ULAN BATOR, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Three measles cases have been confirmed in Mongolia, the country's National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) said on Friday.
The patients are Mongolian citizens who recently returned from Vietnam, the NCCD said in a statement.
In response, the center has urged the public to follow key infection prevention measures, including wearing masks in public, practicing regular handwashing, and ensuring vaccination against measles at least 14 days before traveling to affected regions.
Measles is a highly contagious viral disease spread through respiratory droplets and direct contact. While preventable through vaccination, its common symptoms include fever, dry cough, runny nose, sore throat, and eye inflammation.
There is no specific treatment for measles, and most patients recover within two to three weeks. Enditem
