ALMATY, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan has launched plans to overhaul industrial safety regulations by integrating digital technologies and strengthening oversight of hazardous production facilities, following the recent incident at the Kazakhmys mine that killed seven people, according to the government's press service on Friday.
"Regulatory legal acts will be revised to account for the digitalization of facilities, requirements for ensuring industrial safety at sites will be strengthened, scientific development and the establishment of relevant centers will be promoted, and efforts will be made to enhance human resource potential and the legal status of the state labor inspector," said Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
"In addition, the launch of the E-Industrial Safety Concept information system is planned, which will enable the creation of industrial safety passports, automate accident records, and streamline other processes," he added. Enditem
