Myanmar attracts 656-mln-USD FDI in 10 months of FY 2024-25

YANGON, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar attracted 656.15 million U.S. dollars in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first 10 months of the fiscal year 2024-25, according to figures released by the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) on Monday.

From April 1, 2024, to Jan. 31 this year, the Myanmar Investment Commission approved 52 foreign-invested enterprises, according to the DICA data.

During the period, the oil and gas sector attracted the most FDI with 357.04 million dollars, followed by the manufacturing sector with 148.64 million dollars, and the transport and communication sector with 87.71 million dollars.
