RIYADH, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia has set a Guinness World Record for the largest "Ardah" performance, with 633 participants showcasing this Saudi traditional dance, the Saudi Press Agency reported Monday.

The dance performance was staged as part of the three-day Saudi Founding Day celebrations, which concluded on Sunday.

"Ardah," a type of folkloric group dance in the Arabian Peninsula, is popular in Saudi Arabia. The dance, combining traditional chanting, swordplay, and rhythmic drums, was originally performed to motivate warriors.

According to the report, the celebrations attracted over 50,000 visitors. Enditem
