OTTAWA, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is not ruling out sending Canadian troops to Ukraine as part of a possible peace deal, local media reported Monday.

According to The Canadian Press, when asked at a news conference in Kyiv whether Canada is willing to send troops to help maintain security in Ukraine, Trudeau said Canada will be involved in some way and that "everything is on the table."

As G7 President this year, Canada will continue to stand with Ukraine and support a just and lasting peace for its people, said Trudeau in a statement issued by the prime minister's office.

Trudeau arrived in Kyiv, Ukraine on Monday to attend and deliver remarks at the plenary session of the International Summit on the Support of Ukraine.

The prime minister will also chair a hybrid meeting of G7 Leaders, said the prime minister's office. Enditem
