ALMATY, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has signed a resolution to allocate over 116 billion tenge (about 232 million U.S. dollars) from the government's reserve to support the country's agricultural producers, the government's press service said in a press release on Tuesday.

The document was signed following the president's instruction to provide preferential financing for sowing and harvesting operations in the amount of at least 700 billion (about 1.4 billion U.S. dollars) tenge.

The allocated funds will be used to finance the sowing and harvesting operations of the agricultural producers in 2025 and also their purchase of domestically produced machinery.

The government had already ensured the allocation of the first 100 billion tenge (about 200 million U.S. dollars) in December last year to increase funding for spring fieldwork and harvesting operations in 2025, according to the press release. Enditem
