GAZA -- An agreement was reached to resolve the problem of delaying the release of Palestinian prisoners who were supposed to be released in the last batch, Hamas said on Tuesday.
The prisoners would be released simultaneously with the bodies of the Israeli hostages that were agreed to be handed over during the first stage of the Gaza ceasefire deal, Hamas said in a statement. (Gaza-Israel-Prisoners)

DAMASCUS -- Powerful explosions were heard in Damascus and its outskirts on Tuesday night as Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes targeting multiple locations in southern Syria, local media and witnesses reported.

KHARTOUM -- A Sudanese military plane crashed Tuesday in Omdurman city, north of the Sudanese capital Khartoum, killing its crew and several Sudanese army officers, according to a military source.
"The ill-fated plane, Antonov, crashed over Al-Hara (district) 76 of Karari locality, north of Omdurman, due to a technical fault," the military source, who preferred anonymity, told Xinhua. (Sudan-Plane Crash)

BEIRUT -- An Israeli drone strike on Tuesday killed two people and injured two others in the Shaara area of Janta, near Lebanon's eastern mountain range, the state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported.
