VIENTIANE, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Laos' Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare has hosted the fourth meeting of the ASEAN Labor Inspection Committee (ALICOM), focusing on enhancing the capacity of the committee and reviewing the progress of the ASEAN Labor Inspection Committee Work Plan 2022-2030.

The meeting, held on Tuesday, provided an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences, discuss implementation strategies, address challenges, and focus on key areas such as capacity building for labor inspectors, monitoring labor unit inspections, and developing various policies, Lao National Radio reported on Wednesday.

This meeting was part of ongoing efforts to improve labor inspection systems in the region, ensuring better protection for the workforce and enabling member states to effectively share knowledge and resources to address common challenges. Enditem
