Singapore seizes drugs worth over 101,250 USD

SINGAPORE, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Singapore authorities have confiscated a large quantity of drugs estimated to be worth more than 135,000 Singapore dollars (about 101,250 U.S. dollars), the Central Narcotics Bureau said in a release on Thursday.

The drugs seized in the operation on Tuesday could potentially sustain the addiction of around 490 drug abusers for one week, according to the bureau.

The seizure took place late Tuesday night, with two men, aged 37 and 44, arrested near Redhill Road in southern Singapore.
