TOKYO -- At least one person has been found dead, and 84 houses have been damaged as a forest fire in the northeastern Japanese prefecture of Iwate continued to spread on Thursday, local media reported.

Since Wednesday, the blaze has burned an area of more than 600 hectares in Ofunato, Iwate Prefecture, Kyodo News reported, citing local authorities. (Japan-Forest Fire)

JAKARTA -- A fire occurred at an oil tank in the oil refinery located in Cilacap Regency, Indonesia's Central Java province, on Thursday, with no casualties reported, a senior firefighter said.

JAKARTA -- Chinese automaker Geely has achieved a major milestone with over 1,000 vehicle purchase orders for its EX5 series in Indonesia since its launch, highlighting the country's growing interest in electric vehicles (EVs).
