WARSAW, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Poland's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3.2 percent year-on-year in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2024, according to a preliminary estimate released by the national statistics office on Thursday.

Seasonally adjusted GDP (at constant prices, reference year 2020) rose by 1.3 percent compared to the previous quarter and was 3.7 percent higher than in the fourth quarter of 2023.

The growth was primarily fueled by a 4.8 percent increase in domestic demand, up from a 4.4 percent rise in the third quarter of 2024.

Among the fastest-growing sectors were transportation and storage, as well as financial and insurance activities.

Analysts predict moderate but steady economic growth in early 2025, with household spending and investments playing a key role in sustaining momentum. However, uncertainties in global trade and challenges in the construction sector could pose risks. Enditem
