CAIRO -- Israeli and Qatari delegations arrived in the Egyptian capital of Cairo on Thursday for Gaza ceasefire talks, with the participation of U.S. representatives, according to Egypt's State Information Service (SIS).
The SIS said in a statement that the concerned parties have begun intensive discussions "on the next stages of the ongoing Gaza truce deal," while addressing ways to ensure the implementation of the previously agreed-upon understandings. (Egypt-Ceasefire Talks)

ISTANBUL -- Abdullah Ocalan, the jailed leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), called for disarmament and the dissolution of the organization, the pro-Kurdish Democratic Party (DEM Party) announced on Thursday in Istanbul.

CAIRO -- Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov discussed on Thursday regional developments, especially issues related to the Gaza Strip and Syria.
During a phone conversation, Abdelatty reviewed the ongoing preparations for the emergency Arab Summit, which will be hosted in Cairo on March 4, as well as Egypt's efforts to ensure the sustainability of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. JERUSALEM -- Israel's attorney general ordered on Thursday a criminal investigation into the allegedly suspicious ties between officials with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office and Qatar.
