NEW DELHI, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Several hilly areas in north India, particularly in the states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Indian-controlled Kashmir, saw heavy snowfall and rains during the past 24 hours, disrupting normal life, confirmed local officials on Friday.
Plain areas in the northern states of Punjab and Haryana, as well as Delhi, also saw rains.
The Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh witnessed flash floods and landslides as a result of torrential rains, leaving many vehicles stranded in inundated areas.
