ISLAMABAD, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Three policemen were injured in an attack on a police station in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Saturday, officials said.
Some unidentified assailants hurled a cracker explosive at the police station, and fled the scene, sources from Karachi police told Xinhua.
The device landed inside the premises, causing injuries to the cops, and damaging several parked vehicles.
The injured personnel have been shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities have summoned the bomb disposal squad to assess the situation, while security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to trace the perpetrators.
