YANGON, March 1 (Xinhua) -- An agricultural and livestock fair to mark Farmers' Day kicked off in the commercial city of Yangon, Myanmar, on Friday, the state-run television channel Myanmar Radio and Television reported on Saturday.
The fair was organized to honor farmers working in agriculture and livestock, the report said.
It showcased seeds, vegetables, kitchen gardening, animal breeding and animal feed.
Arrangements have been made for farmers to participate in contract farming in collaboration with agricultural and livestock banks.
The fair will run until March 2.
