PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia has reported significant rises in the cases of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cancer, and mental health illnesses in 2024, a health official said on Monday.

Lo Veasnakiry, a secretary of state at the Ministry of Health, said a total of 230,279 new cases of diabetes were diagnosed last year, a year-on-year increase of 59 percent. (Cambodia-Diabetes)

NAIROBI -- The Horn of Africa is expected to be warmer than usual between March and May, the Climate Prediction and Applications Center (ICPAC) of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), a regional bloc, reported on Monday.

WINDHOEK -- Namibia will introduce an online visa application system on April 1 to improve efficiency and convenience for travelers, Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security Albert Kawana said on Monday.
