Bangladesh earns nearly 33 bln USD from exports in eight months of 2024-25 fiscal

DHAKA, March 4 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh's total exports in the first eight months of 2024-25 fiscal year (July 2024-June 2025) grew by 10.53 percent year on year to nearly 33 billion U.S. dollars, according to the latest official data.

The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) data posted on its website on Tuesday showed that Bangladesh earned 32,942.66 million dollars from exports in the July-February period, compared to 29,805.03 million dollars a year earlier.

Of the total earnings, the EPB data showed the country's income from ready-made knitwear and woven garment items increased 1.66 percent to 26,796.42 million dollars during the cited period.

Bangladesh has set its export target in the 2024-25 fiscal year at 50 billion dollars, including 40.48 billion dollars from ready-made garment products. Enditem
