MANILA -- The Philippine Air Force (PAF) said a search is on for an FA-50 fighter jet that went missing shortly after midnight on Tuesday while on a tactical night operation.
"The aircraft lost communication with the rest of the flight involved in the mission minute before reaching the target area," the PAF said in a statement. (Philippines-Missing Fighter Jet)

HONG KONG -- The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government strongly disapproves of a U.S. decision to impose another 10-percent duty on products of Hong Kong, which put the accumulative tariff at 20 percent, a spokesperson for the HKSAR government said Tuesday.

HANOI -- Vietnam's agro-forestry-fisheries exports reached 9.38 billion U.S. dollars in the first two months of this year, up 8.3 percent year-on-year, local media cited the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment as saying on Tuesday.
Of the total, agricultural products brought home 4.89 billion dollars during the cited period, up 4.5 percent while the contribution from animal farming was 72.2 million dollars, marking a 4 percent increase. (Vietnam-Exports)

TOKYO -- Japan's nationwide unemployment rate stood at 2.5 percent in January, unchanged from the previous month, data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications showed Tuesday.

JAKARTA -- Indonesia plans to launch up to 21 energy projects valued at approximately 45 billion U.S. dollars in the first phase this year, according to the country's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.
