MANILA -- The remains of the two pilots and the wreckage of the FA-50 fighter jet that crashed during a combat air support mission have been found, the Philippine military said Wednesday.

Lieutenant General Luis Rex Bergante, the commander of the Eastern Mindanao Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, said the bodies were found around 11 a.m. local time Wednesday near the wreckage site in Mt. Kalatungan in Bukidnon province. (Philippines-Missing Fighter Jet-Deaths)

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia, China and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) on Wednesday launched a partnership to improve quality inclusive education, health, nutrition and hygiene for Cambodia's most vulnerable children, said a joint press release.

TOKYO -- Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on Wednesday stressed that Japan determines its defense budget by itself, dismissing a U.S. call to boost defense spending.

ISLAMABAD -- The Pakistani military said on Wednesday that the death toll from Tuesday's terrorist attack in the country's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province rose to 18, and 16 terrorists were killed.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, said in a statement that a group of attackers attempted to breach a cantonment's security but after resistance from the security forces, two suicide bombers rammed their explosive-laden vehicles into the perimeter wall. NEW DELHI -- At least three paramilitary troopers belonging to India's Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were wounded Wednesday after an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by Naxalites went off in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand, police said.

The explosion took place in the Chaibasa area of West Singbhum district, about 158 km south of Raipur, the capital city of Jharkhand. (India-Blast) Enditem
