HANOI, March 5 (Xinhua) -- The gold ring price in Vietnam jumped to a new high at around 93 million Vietnamese dong (3,639 U.S. dollars) per tael (37.5 grams) on Wednesday, local media reported.
Saigon Jewelry Company listed each tael of its gold ring at about 90.7 million dong (3,549 dollars) for sellers and 92.6 million dong (3,623 dollars) for buyers on Wednesday morning, up 600,000 dong (23.5 dollars) compared to Tuesday's trading session, VnExpress reported.
The gold ring price at jewelry firm Bao Tin Minh Chau shot up to 91.9 million dong (3,596 dollars) for sellers and 93.1 million dong (3,643 dollars) for buyers per tael the same morning.
Meanwhile, the gold bar price also surged to near the peak and was traded at the ring's level.
Each tael of gold bar was traded at 90.7 million dong for sellers and 92.7 million dong per tael for buyers, an increase of 600,000 dong compared to the previous day's session.
Prices of gold ring and gold bar are the two major reflections of gold prices in Vietnam. Enditem
