JERUSALEM -- Israel said on Wednesday that it has conveyed to Washington its position on direct talks between the United States and Hamas regarding the release of American hostages being held in the Gaza Strip.

TEHRAN -- Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad announced on Wednesday the start of gas transfer from Turkmenistan to Türkiye via his country.

BEIRUT -- Two Lebanese brothers were injured on Wednesday in Israeli airstrikes targeting a car in the southern Lebanese town of Ras Naqoura, state media reported.
The state-run National News Agency reported that Israeli drones carried out multiple airstrikes on the vehicle near a landfill site south of a position of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon. JERUSALEM -- Eyal Zamir took over on Wednesday as the 24th chief of the Israel Defense Forces, warning that Israel's multi-front conflict would be ongoing and vowing to strike its enemies with "tremendous force."
