KABUL, March 9 (Xinhua) -- Acting Foreign Minister of the Afghan interim government Amir Khan Muttaqi has left Kabul for Oman to strengthen political and economic relations, deputy spokesman for the foreign ministry Hafiz Zia Ahmad said Sunday.
Muttaqi will discuss the political and economic dimensions of the bilateral partnership with his counterpart and other high-level Oman officials, Ahmad said.
In January, the Afghan acting foreign minister visited the United Arab Emirates, where he met with senior officials focused on enhancing bilateral ties, including political, trade and investment.
Since assuming power in August 2021, the officials of the Afghan interim government have been making efforts to strengthen ties with nations. Enditem
