HONG KONG, China, March 9 (Xinhua) -- Australia's Neil Robertson crushed Englishman Stuart Bingham 10-0 to win the World Grand Prix final here on Sunday.

The 2010 world champion earned a top prize money of 180,000 pounds (about 232,000 US dollars) from the 25th crown of his career, which lifted him to the 11th in the world rankings from 19th.

The 43-year-old stormed to an 8-0 advantage over Bingham, the 2015 world champion, after the first session of the final and took another two frames to win the event for a second time in his career. He previously beat Graeme Dott in the final back in 2020.

The World Grand Prix, which was inaugurated in 2015, marked the first time the tournament was hosted outside of the UK, with a record breaking venue size. It was held at the 5,000-capacity Kai Tak Arena, Kai Tak Sports Park, which opened on March 1.

"The tournament has been amazing and the crowd created a wonderful atmosphere for the players. This is a place I love coming to," said Robertson after the final. Enditem
