JAKARTA, March 10 (Xinhua) -- A train collided with a cargo truck in Kediri city, East Java Province in Indonesia on Monday, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.
The accident occurred at 10:55 a.m. local time at a level crossing, causing several carriages to derail and bringing the train to a halt.
In a statement, Indonesia's state-owned railway company PT KAI urged road users to "always exercise caution, follow traffic regulations, and prioritize trains when crossing railway tracks."
The train had departed from Malang Station in East Java at 8:25 a.m. local time and was en route to Purwokerto Station in Central Java.
