NEW YORK, March 10 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended lower on Monday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 890.01 points, or 2.08 percent, to 41,911.71. The S&P 500 sank 155.63 points, or 2.69 percent, to 5,614.56. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 727.90 points, or 4.00 percent, to 17,468.33.
Nine of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended in red, with technology and consumer discretionary leading the laggards by dropping 4.34 percent and 3.90 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, utilities and energy led the gainers by rising 1.04 percent and 0.95 percent, respectively. Enditem
