CARACAS, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Santos teammates Tomas Rincon and Yeferson Soteldo were among six Brazil-based players named in Venezuela's squad on Monday for World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Peru.

Manager Fernando Batista also included Nahuel Ferraresi (Sao Paulo), Jose Martinez (Corinthians), Jefferson Savarino (Botafogo) and Wilker Angel (Juventude).

Venezuela will meet Ecuador in Quito on March 21 and Peru in Maturin four days later.

The Vinotinto is currently eighth in the 10-team South American zone qualifying standings with 12 points from as many outings.

The top six teams will earn an automatic berth in next year's FIFA World Cup while the seventh-ranked side will advance to an intercontinental playoff. Enditem
