ISLAMABAD, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Gunmen attacked a passenger train in Kacchi district of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Tuesday, injuring several people including the train driver, said police and government officials.
The Jaffar Express was heading from the Balochistan's provincial capital city of Quetta to the country's northwest Peshawar city when at least six gunmen opened fire on the train, Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind said in a statement.
He said that rescue teams and security forces are on their way to the site, adding that the incident could be a possible terrorist attack according to preliminary investigations.
No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack yet. Enditem
