BISHKEK, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to 2.3 billion U.S. dollars in the first two months of 2025, marking a 10.7 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024, the National Statistics Committee reported on Tuesday.
The service sector accounted for 51.9 percent of the GDP, followed by the commodity production industries with 29.2 percent, and taxes on products with 18.9 percent.
In the January-February period, consumer prices in the country rose by 1.6 percent, compared to December 2024. Prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 3.2 percent, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products by 1.7 percent, and tariffs for services provided to the population by 0.8 percent.
