GAZA, March 11 (Xinhua) -- The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip continues to deteriorate as Israel has kept all border crossings closed and blocked the entry of essential aid for the 10th consecutive day, Hamas said Tuesday.
In a press statement, Hamas accused Israel of violating international humanitarian law and the ceasefire agreement, which mandates the unrestricted entry of aid into Gaza.
The movement also criticized the blockade as a form of collective punishment that exacerbates civilian suffering
Hamas urged international mediators to pressure Israel into reopening the crossings, emphasizing that humanitarian aid should not be used as a political bargaining tool.
Despite the ongoing crisis, the movement vowed to continue its struggle for Palestinian rights. Enditem
