KIEV -- U.S. military aid to Ukraine has been restored, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported Wednesday.
The agency cited Pavlo Palisa, deputy head of the Ukrainian President's office and a member of the delegation to talks with the United States held in Saudi Arabia's port city of Jeddah. TRIPOLI -- Libya's state-owned National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced Wednesday the resumption of oil production at the Mabruk oilfield after a suspension of 10 years.

BRUSSELS -- The European Commission on Wednesday announced it will impose retaliatory tariffs on 26 billion euros (28 billion U.S. dollars) worth of U.S. goods from next month in response to U.S. tariffs of 25 percent on steel and aluminum imports.
First, the Commission let the suspension of existing countermeasures against the United States lapse on April 1. The move targets U.S. products that "respond to the economic harm done on 8 billion euros (8.72 billion U.S. dollars) of EU steel and aluminum exports," according to a statement released by the Commission. OSLO -- Greenland's opposition Demokraatit (Democrats) party won Tuesday's parliamentary election, according to preliminary data released by the Central Election Committee on Wednesday.
Greenland, an autonomous territory of Denmark, saw the Democrats win 29.9 percent of the vote, becoming the largest party in the Inatsisartut. The governing coalition partner Naleraq followed with 24.5 percent. (Denmark-Greenland-Election)

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani security forces have killed 27 terrorists and rescued 155 passengers during an ongoing operation to rescue hostages following a train attack in the country's southwest Balochistan province, security sources said on Wednesday morning.
The incident happened in Kacchi district of the province on Tuesday when the train Jaffar Express, carrying about 450 passengers in nine bogies, was traveling from provincial capital city of Quetta to the country's northwest city of Peshawar on Tuesday when an unknown number of terrorists stormed the train and took passengers hostage, security forces told Xinhua.
