KABUL, March 14 (Xinhua) -- At least 600 drug users have recovered and reintegrated with their families after receiving medical treatment in a rehabilitation center in south Afghanistan's Kandahar province, the local media outlet TOLOnews reported on Friday.
The recovered addicts have also received professional and vocational training at the rehabilitation center, the report said, adding that all the 600 people have reunited with their families.
Meanwhile, the former drug users were trained in six professional fields, such as electrician and carpentry, and they also received a package of professional tools to work and earn a livelihood after reuniting with their families.
The Afghan caretaker government, in addition to taking drug users to rehabilitation centers, has banned poppy cultivation and drug trafficking in an effort to keep the nation from drug menace and addiction. Enditem
