KATHMANDU, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Foreign direct investments pledged to Nepal had increased in the first eight months of the current 2024-25 fiscal year, the government announced on Friday.
The committed investments by Thursday stood at 321 million U.S. dollars, marking a 53-percent increase over the same period of 2023-24, the Department of Industry said in a report.
The pledged amounts went to 427 projects with a view to generating 11,475 jobs, noted the report.
The tourism sector attracted most of the amounts, followed by the sectors of information technology and service, the report said. Enditem
