ISLAMABAD, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Nine terrorists were killed when Pakistani security forces conducted two separate operations in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said in a statement on Saturday.
The operations were carried out in Mohmand and Dera Ismail Khan districts on Friday and Saturday based on intelligence, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military's media wing, said in the statement.
In the first operation in Mohmand, two soldiers and seven militants were killed when security forces launched a raid on a hideout of militants.
In another operation, two militants were neutralized during an armed confrontation with security forces, the statement added.
