Afghanistan's int'l trade in goods reaches 295 mln USD in one year

KABUL, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan's international trade in goods reached 295 million U.S. dollars during the Persian calendar year 1403, the country's Ministry of Commerce and Industry reported Sunday.

During the year starting from March 20, 2024, and will end on March 20, 2025, the value of exported goods of the country reached 128 million dollars, while the imports stood at 167 million dollars, said Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, spokesman for the ministry.

The nation engaged in the exchange of commercial goods via air corridors with various countries, including Austria, Jordan, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Britain, the United States, South Africa, Germany, China, and India, Jawad explained.

Afghanistan's main exports include fresh and dry fruits, saffron, handicrafts, and other items, while it imports medical supplies and electrical equipment. Enditem
