TASHKENT, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan plan to increase their bilateral trade turnover to 10 billion U.S. dollars by 2030, said the Uzbek Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade.
The commitment was announced during a meeting on Saturday between Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov, and Kazakh Trade and Integration Minister Arman Shakkaliyev.
The two sides discussed the implementation of existing bilateral agreements and outlined further steps to enhance trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, said a statement by the press service of the Uzbek ministry.
In 2024, the trade volume between the two sides reached nearly 4.3 billion dollars, driven by an increase in exports of food products, textiles, non-ferrous metals, chemical products and plastic goods, it said. Enditem
