WARSAW, March 18 (Xinhua) -- European Athletics Indoor Championships gold medalist Anna Wielgosz of Poland is ready for "tough challenge" at the 2025 World Athletics Indoor Championships to be held in Nanjing, China.

"I think strong races will be waiting for me in the world championships. The rivals there will be much, much stronger than in Apeldoorn," Wielgosz told Polish media on Tuesday.

Earlier this month, Wielgosz won the women's 800m title at the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2025 in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.

The 31-year-old believes she will keep the momentum to stand on the podium during the Nanjing World Athletics Indoor Championships, which will kick off on Friday.

"This year I want to find out my limit, and I will definitely achieve it. You will see me there at full strength. Now I'm ready for the next challenge," Wielgosz added. Enditem
