DHAKA, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Bangladeshi interim government's Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has instructed the relevant authorities to initiate preparations and measures to ensure peaceful elections.
He came up with the directives at a meeting held here on Wednesday with Home Adviser Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and officials concerned.
Bangladesh is preparing to hold the general elections in December.
Yunus, an economist, took oath as the head of the country's interim government on Aug. 8, 2024.
