NEW DELHI, March 21 (Xinhua) -- India's foreign exchange (forex) reserves increased 305 million U.S. dollars to 654.271 billion dollars during the week ending on March 14, the central bank said on Friday.
During the preceding week, India's forex reserves significantly increased 15.267 billion dollars, the maximum jump in the past four years.
The country's foreign currency assets fell 96 million dollars to 557.186 billion dollars. Gold reserves increased 66 million dollars to 74.391 billion dollars.
The Special Drawing Rights rose 51 million dollars to 18.262 billion dollars, while the country's reserve position in the International Monetary Fund stood at 283 million dollars. Enditem
