NEW YORK, March 21 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended higher on Friday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 32.03 points, or 0.08 percent, to 41,985.35. The S&P 500 added 4.67 points, or 0.08 percent, to 5,667.56. The Nasdaq Composite Index increased 92.43 points, or 0.52 percent, to 17,784.05.
Eight of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended in red, with real estate and materials leading the laggards by dropping 1.02 percent and 1.00 percent, respectively.
