CARACAS, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Venezuela's Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello on Friday rejected U.S. claims that returned Venezuelan migrants are connected to now-disbanded criminal group Tren de Aragua.

"We haven't received a single person linked to Tren de Aragua," Cabello said on state-run Radio Nacional de Venezuela.

The United States has been deporting immigrants, including Venezuelans. U.S. President Donald Trump's administration has said that most of the deported Venezuelans were members of Tren de Aragua.

Cabello also cited a report by The New York Times, which found no evidence linking deported Venezuelans to the gang, adding that Tren de Aragua had already been dismantled by Venezuelan security forces.

Cabello also noted that Venezuelan immigration officials are stationed in Mexico, assisting the Venezuelan Embassy with cases of nationals seeking to return home. Enditem
